
Douglass Alumna Elena Anastasiou Rossi Receives Award from Douglass Residential College & NJSFWC
Douglass Alumna Elena Anastasiou Rossi Named a 2025 NJ Women of Achievement by the NJ State Federation of Womenâs Clubs & Douglass Residential College.
Congratulations to Douglass alumnae Elena Anastasiou Rossi ’78, who received a 2025 New Jersey Women of Achievement Award, co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC (NJSFWC) and Douglass Residential College. She was honored with this year’s recipients at the NJSFWC 131st annual convention in Atlantic City in May.
âI volunteer because of the generations of women I meet and work with who make things happen,â says Elena. She has served as Chair of Alumnae Association of Douglass College (AADC) Reunion Weekend since 2012, and as President of the Class of 1978 for nearly 40 years.
In recognition of her tireless work, Elena will receive the Margaret T. Corwin Award at Reunion 2025, the AADCâs highest award for service. She serves as President of the New Jersey Folk Festival Board, where she has been involved for two decades. She also serves in leadership roles on the Cyprus Childrenâs Fund Board of Directors. Elena is also an AADC Dedicated Volunteer Leader Named to 2025 Rutgers Alumni Associationâs Loyal Sons & Daughters.
