About Our Presenter
Michal Schnaider Beeri, is the Director of the Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center of the Brain Health Institute, Rutgers University, and the Krieger Klein Endowed Chair of Neurology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is a scientist renowned for her research in Alzheimer’s disease. Her focus is in understanding the links between diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease, particularly investigating how insulin resistance and other metabolic factors may contribute to the development of Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline. Her work has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Alzheimer’s Association and she has over 200 peer-reviewed publications. In recent years, her research is increasingly focused on novel treatments for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.
