
Douglass Alumnae Leader Lisa Dorio Ruch ‘89 to Receive 2026 New Jersey Women of Achievement Award from the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs and Douglass Residential College
Congratulations to Associate Alumnae of Douglass College Board of Directors President Lisa Dorio Ruch ’89, Esq., who will receive a 2026 New Jersey Women of Achievement Award from the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC (NJSFWC) and Douglass Residential College. She is being honored for her professional achievements, and community activities and for her dedicated leadership of our alumnae community. The ceremony will be held at the NJSFWC Annual Convention at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Monday, May 4, 2026. To attend, please contact the Federation at NJSFWC.hq@gmail.com.
Lisa has been engaged with the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College (AADC) as a dedicated volunteer leader for nearly four decades. Her service on the AADC Board, includes previously as a two-term Vice President for Administration, as Treasurer and as a member. She has shared from her work as an attorney as a moderator of Life, Legacy & the Legal Field Panel Discussion at the AADC’s Victoria Dabrowski Schmidt ’42 Workplace and Professional Development Symposium. And Lisa has served as an integral member of the AADC Nominating Committee, including as Chair, the Executive Director Search Committee, and as Class Secretary.
Lisa encourages alumnae and classmates to get involved and she has celebrated the Class of 1989 Milestone Reunions, most recently its 35th at Reunion. Lisa received the AADC Alumnae Recognition Award and is a consistent supporter of the AADC Annual Appeal. She is a Staff Attorney with the State of New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission and has voluntarily assisted the AADC on numerous occasions over the last with pro bono legal services.
