
Two Outstanding Douglass Alumnae to be Inducted into 2026 Rutgers Alumni Association Loyal Sons and Daughters
Congratulations to Sheila Kelly Hampton ’70 and Christiana Foglio ’84, BSPPP ’86, who have been named to the 2026 Rutgers Alumni Association Loyal Sons and Daughters. The two Douglass alumnae will be inducted with this yearâs honorees, Rutgers alumni Hollis Alphonso Copeland Jr. RC ’78, Anthony Covington SAS ’15; RBS ’15, Jim Kelly RC’79; RBS’81, and Joshua P. Weiss RC’96.
Each year, the RAA honors individuals who have made a significant contribution of service to the Rutgers community. Loyal Sons and Daughters represent its highest recognition of service. Honorees will be celebrated at the Annual Awards Dinner at Livingston Campus Center on April 18, 2026. For more event information and tickets, visit Rutgers Alumni Association.
Sheila Kelly Hampton currently serves as Vice President of Administration on the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College (AADC) Board of Directors, and has provided steadfast leadership and advocacy, including as a past President of the AADC. Since graduating from Douglass College over 55 years ago, Sheila has been an outstanding volunteer leader who served as president of the AADC from 2004 to 2008 and on the AADC Board of Directors as Vice President for Development and Public Relations. She is the recipient of the AADC awards, including the AADC Medal, Margaret T. Corwin Award, Alumnae Recognition Award and the Vanguard Service Award. The Sheila Kelly Hampton Prize for Student Leadership was created in 2009 to honor undergraduates embodying her passion and efforts for the Douglass Residential Community.
Christiana Foglio has made an impact at Douglass and in the greater Rutgers Community through exemplary leadership, including on the Rutgers University Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Directors, and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Directorâs Advisory Board. Christiana is a generous supporter of the AADC Annual Appeal and has participated in many Associate Alumnae programs. She has served as a keynote speaker at career symposiums, a mentor, and has made opportunities available for the Associate Alumnae community to come together in impactful ways. Christiana is the recipient of the AADC Medal in recognition of her impact in our community and beyond, and for her exceptional contributions to business and community revitalization in New Jersey.
